Research Overview
Dr. Fujita Motonobu is a professor (non-tenured) at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC), where he conducts research and teaches science and technology policy from a national security perspective. His work focuses on security policy and science, technology and innovation (STI) strategy, particularly in defense technology and acquisition policy. He concurrently serves as a technical official at the Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency (ATLA), Ministry of Defense (MOD), Japan, where he has worked since 2006. His professional experience includes defense R&D planning, technology strategy formulation, and systems engineering. From 2021 to 2023, he was an Asia-Pacific Fellow at the RAND Corporation, conducting research on the policy and institutional environment for defense technology innovation.
