At the Health Center of the Girls' High School, several school physicians work on a rotating basis. This time, we spoke with a school physician who is also an alumna of the school about her thoughts on being appointed to the Girls' High School as a graduate.
**********
I have been serving as a school physician at the Girls' High School Health Center since this fiscal year, and I would like to take this opportunity to talk about the Health Center from the perspective of an alumna.
I entered this school from Keio Chutobu Junior High School and later devoted myself to my studies at the Keio University School of Medicine.
I sometimes run into the teachers who took care of me, which makes me truly feel that I have returned to my alma mater.
During my time as a high school student here, I had a wonderful time participating in various events and studying with my unique classmates, and I have many very fond memories.
I am very happy and honored to be able to contribute even a little to my alma mater.
The Girls' High School Health Center is a calm environment where a public health nurse is always on duty, and school counselors also visit twice a week. Multiple school physicians are also in charge depending on the day of the week.
Students can feel free to visit the office anytime they are in trouble, not only when they are feeling unwell or injured, but also when they feel anxious.
Having just started my post in April, I have not had many opportunities to interact with the students yet, but if there are students interested in the School of Medicine or the work of a doctor, I would be happy to talk with them from my position as an alumna.
I believe that the strong connection with alumni is one of the unique advantages of an integrated school system.
